As Sharp As A Tack has some rules we would like everyone to follow. Following these will make our crew stronger, with many more friendships!

Respect: Every crew member (cabin person to captain) should be given respect. Even in tell chat, you should be nice to everyone, even if the captain can't hear. If there are any problems with this, if it is a serious matter, you could be suspended from the crew.

Just say Ahoy: When a crew member logs online, welcome them on. There are many different things to say that welcome a pirate, including: Ahoy! (A quick way to say this is to push F1), Hoy, Welcome back, How are you doing, etc.

Team during battle:Teaming during a battle, swordfighting or rumble, will help your side win. In order to win, you need to know how to team:

When in battle, there is two different sides. One side has the As Sharp As A Tack team. We are always located on the LEFT side. On the RIGHT side of the battle, there are the zombies or the skellies. Those are who you want to team on. When swordfigthing, you should be instructed to team of 2/3. This means that when in swordfight mode, there should be two or three dots next to each of the pirates on the right side. When rumbling, you should be instructed to team of 3/4. This means that when in rumble mode, there should be three or four dots under each of the pirates on the right side. The pirate with a white outline around his/her game on the right side is the skellie/zombie that you are teaming on. To move your teaming to a different skellie/zombie, just click on a different pirate on the RIGHT side! Easy as that!

Dont spam the crew chats with the chat shortcuts: These are the F keys usually located at the top of the keyboard. When you push these different keys, you
say something. Here is what comes up when you push the keys:

F1 - Ahoy!
F2 - Aye aye
F3 - /me laughs
F4 - Welcome aboard!
F5 - Good luck
F6 - Good game
F7 - Harr!
F8 - Avast!
F9 - Shiver me timbers
F10 - Yohoho!
F11 - Did you hear the cannon shots last night?
F12 - /print

Welcome new members: Whenever a new member has joined the crew, welcome them. Everyone wants to feel at home right when they arrive!

The captain on the ship: Each ship has a captain when out and sailing. Whoever is navigating is in charge usually. Follow what the captain says. Even if you are at a higher rank in the crew, you can not take charge, as the lower rank officer is sailing. You would need to listen to them.

No drama: As Sharp As A Tack does not want to have drama in it. All drama does is causes the crew members to argue, which will usually result in two sides of the arguement with a lot of the crew members in it.

No thieves: We do not want any thieves in the crew. So far, we haven't had any problems, lets keep it this way. Many members of the crew keep ships unlocked, we do not want pirates stealing from those. If there is any theif in the crew, most likely there will be a demotion or a expulsion.

PTB: PTB stands for Permission to Board. A pirate should ask this BEFORE hopping onto a ship that is sailing that you are not already on. Many pirates do swabbies or training, and would not want someone to just hop on the ship, as this could cause some problems when sailing.

Don't leave during battle: All officers in the crew do not like when pirates leave during, or just before battling. This lowers their chance of winning the battle, and you will most likely get a -1 during the booty division. If you really need to go, explain to the officer BEFORE you leave the vessel. Otherwise, there is no need to leave.

Using a pirates' ship: When an officer would like to run a pillage on a different ship, you need to ask if you
aallowed to use it. Some pirates just keep their ships unlocked all the time, and do not appreciate it if you sail on it. You need to get their permission FIRST. You also need to ask the owner of the ship how much you need to stock with in the end of the pillage. It depends on the size of the ship, and how much they usually keep in the hold. These are the questions to be asked before you start a pillage, not during or after.

Porting and dividing: After each pillage that is done, you need to port. Once you have done that, go to the ship chest and then click Divide the Booty. Every pirate wants their share in pay for their work, so they will get mad if you do not divide the booty. At this time, -1 pay off of everyone that needed it during the pillage.

Unlock your ship: Before starting a pillage, you should ALWAYS unlock you ship. If you have connection problems, another officer can take over you job until it is fixed. Without unlocking, an officer has no way for navigating for battles, dividing booty, etc.

No taking back to senior officers: The senior officer are like a second captain. They need to have the same respect. If you talk back to any senior officer and you are a cabin person or a pirate, you will be expelled. If you are an officer or fleet officer, you will be demoted to pirate, until the captain can talk to you.

By not following these, crew members could either:
1) Be talked to by the captain
2) Demoted(if officer or above)
3) Expelled from the crew(For anyone, if severe)

We want As Sharp As A Tack to be as strong and caring as possible. Rules can help accomplish this.
